The John Mulholland Motor Group, a first generation family business based in Randalstown selling Skoda, Hyundai and Ford, has been chosen to represent Ireland at The National Family Business Awards at Wembley. Regional Winners and National Champions will be crowned at the Grand Awards Ceremony on 15th July.
Now in their 8th year, the awards were founded to recognise and celebrate the achievements of Britain and Ireland’s family-owned businesses and the entrepreneurs who lead them. From husband and wife farm shops to fifth generation tailors and everything in between; the UK and Ireland are home to over 3 million family firms.
Amalia Brightley-Gillott, Awards Director says –
“Every year we are blown away by the variety and calibre of family businesses who enter the awards. Few people realise that every time they visit their local hairdresser, stay in a boutique hotel, by a bottle of wine, have a necklace made or buy cheese in the supermarket that they are in fact supporting passionate, dedicated families who have set up in business together. They might be hundreds of years old or new kids on the block. These awards are our chance to say ‘thank you’ and give recognition for their contribution.”
John Mulholland, Managing Director says –
“We are over the moon to be shortlisted as Finalists and we are incredibly proud to represent Ireland at the National Awards. Since I founded the business with my wife over 27 years ago we have worked hard to grow and provide even more jobs for local people. We’re really proud of our growing reputation and are excited to be part of The National Family Business Awards along with our fellow family businesses from the rest of the country.”
